Announcement – New Board Directors

Jenni Doonan is currently Mission Manager for Honeywell based in Scotland. Jenni is a space systems and operations professional with over 15 years’ experience across spacecraft engineering, mission operations, and ground segment delivery, combined with senior leadership roles in Scotland’s further education sector focused on commercial growth and workforce development. Her space career includes roles with Airbus Defence & Space, EUMETSAT, and more recently Honeywell, working across mission-critical programmes such as Galileo, Sentinel and QKDSat with responsibility for systems engineering, verification and validation, and operational readiness. She has led complex, multi-site programme delivery and ground segment development, working to ESA/ECSS standards and supporting missions from test through to operations. Jenni brings a systems-level perspective on the space sector combining first-hand experience of mission delivery with a track record of building the partnerships, infrastructure, and skills pipelines required to support industry growth.

Peter Mendham founded Bright Ascension and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the company’s technology strategy and product vision. With over two decades of experience in the space sector, Peter has led the development of industry-leading software products and architectures, as well as shaping a culture of innovation to help deliver them to market. His career spans commercial and technical leadership with a technology background in software development, artificial intelligence, and electronic engineering across institutional and commercial programmes within the space industry. Peter continues to drive Bright Ascension’s products and technology, with a passion for building positive cultures which showcase what effective teams can achieve together.
